Why vote for Gord McCallum for School Trustee?

  • Relationship Development
  • Community Involvement
  • Extensive Educational Experience
  • Student-centred Approach to Education

Gord McCallum has been an educator his entire career,  beginning as a teacher and going on to become an Elementary School Principal.

After retiring as a principal, Gord continued in the educational field in various contract jobs: hiring TOCs (teachers on call), supervising Student Teachers, and currently a TOC (Surrey).

Building strong cohesive relationships is one of Gord’s main strengths.

Finally and most important, Gord believes that students should be the number one priority.

Two areas Gord would like to focus on are Gifted Education: are we doing enough and screen time: helping parents navigate students’ safe use of technology.

Based on his background in the school system, Gord McCallum, would make an excellent School Trustee.

I have known Gord McCallum for 35 years and worked with him in the school system until our retirements. Gord is a highly competent and dedicated worker in any endeavour he sets himself to.  He is a dependable leader and organizer in both his work (educational and community) and in his volunteer activities.  His hard work, thorough knowledge and commitment to his community make him a perfect candidate for School Trustee.

I taught in Surrey with Gord. Later he became principal at Bear Creek where I was teaching. His priorities were with the students and supporting his teachers. He had open dialogues with parents. Highly endorse!
