Gord McCallum has been an educator his entire career. First as a teacher (Vancouver, Surrey) and second as an Elementary Vice Principal and Principal (Surrey). During his 12 years as a Principal, he opened one new school and was involved in additions at two other elementary schools.

After retirement, Gord McCallum continued in the educational field in various contract job hiring TOCs (teachers on call) for the Surrey HR department, Administrator Mentoring, supervising student teachers, and is currently a TOC with the Surrey School District.
